I had just bought 3 dozen 18 free range organic and 18 store bought. My husband likes hard bioled eggs so I buy them from the store so they will be old and come out of the shell without tearing. So hopefully I can get by on what we have until mine are laying on a regular basis.
We got our 2nd egg today. Of the RIR there are three that look like they could possible be laying. Husband checked about noon and there was no egg. When he came back at 4 there it was. We are saving "our eggs" until this weekend and will have a nice homemade breakfast.
Funny story is yesterday after we got our first egg he removed the golf balls as he figured they "got it".
