finally! Not sure whom it was, but...it wasn't the rhode island reds. wasnt the ees or cucco marans. wasnt the black copper msrans....but one of the youngest Olive layers!!! beautiful green egg. will post a pic when i get home. AND it wasnt that small! she didnt use any nesting boxes. not in the coop. none of the quieter no breeze areas. just popped it out on the grass in the middle of the yard. looked kinda like wjen the kids were very young and we'd toss the plastic eggs out within easy viewing.
oddly, now most of the others are acting big-girl like and flattening themselves to the ground or actually going up to check out the nesting boxes.
does it sometimes take one to lead the way in encouraging?
