1st Flock :)

Hello BYC!

My family & I just got our 1st flock today. We have 5 adolescent chickens (not sure what kind) & 5 young adult ducks (4 crested & 1 that looks like the Aflac duck). Our neighbor had been raising them, but he had to move out of state, so he made us an unbeatable deal...and now we're the proud owners of his flock.

I was told at least one duck has been laying eggs, but it'll probably be a while before we see any (once they fully settle in to their new home). We've never raised ducks or chickens before, but we're looking forward to the adventure.

Here is a cellphone picture of our flock. I don't really know how old any of them are, or what kind of chickens I have. I will try to get a better quality photo up ASAP.
