Ok. I very gently ran a toothpick all the way around it and finished the zip. But the membrane is pretty dried up in there at least around the exposed area. That chick seems a little glued in around the edges.. will it be able to still get out? It's beak is poking out, and it's breathing well so I just set it back down quickly and will give it some time. The other chicks are a little too interested though. They have pecked him repeatedly
VWDuckchick, I went over a womans house once was buying some seramas that she hatched in her basement. I got down there and she had bators everywhere. I was admiring her set up and looked in one bator that was just starting the hatch. She said ohh I think those are shrink wrapped and before I knew what was happening she lifted the lid and took her hand and started just crushing the shells. I almost vomited. I never returned .
