1st Time Chicken Family - 8 wk girls or boys?

So we are just loving our cute little flock and having such a great time with our chicks. We ordered 10 pullets from a hachery and received 11. My guess is our bonus chicken is a rooster but so far I'm not sure who is a hen vs. a rooster. Also I ordered one barred rock and one cuckoo maran but I don't know who is who. (Specifically Violet, Daisy, and Luna I'm questioning breeds). I welcome any help you more seasoned chicken folks can offer.

Luna is the Marans. As for sex, most are definitely pullets. There are 3 that could possible be cockerels but I think they are pullets as well. They are Gigi- rather large comb but it still looks like a pullet to me. Same with Beatrix. Of the silkies, Fuzzy Pants could possibly be male, but again, looks more female. Time will tell for certain.

Hedwig is a Light Brahma pullet, they are lovely chickens very talkative I have a hen and a roo ... My roo is a little chatter box lol

Hedwig is our most friendly of the bunch. My 7 yr old loves her and is constantly bringing her in the house to sit to watch tv and get hugs and cuddles.

Yes, Violets feet are more yellow while Dixie's are darker (not solid black but more gray). They look very much alike so I was thinking that maybe our bonus bird was an extra barred rock. However, they both look like girls so far and I assumed our bonus would be a rooster. Fingers crossed I was wrong.

Hi,
First of all welcome and you have a great flock... but to answer one of your questions..There is a thread on BYC from a while ago called " Difference between barred rock and cuckoo marans" this could give you some more info that could be helpful. But I'm almost positive that Luna's the cuckoo maran and Dixie/Violet are your bared rocks. You will be able to tell for sure when they start laying eggs though because cuckoo marans lay dark brown eggs, some people call them chocolate eggs because that's the shade of brown they are. And barred rocks lay really lite brown eggs.
