This chicken is not dead

Reminds me of a foal I once had, she somehow was snoozing with her hind quarters out underneath the board fence!

I didn't want to spook her awake and if she couldn't get up she would hurt herself struggling. What to do?? Well I quietly walked over, reached for her hind legs under the fence, and then with an almighty HEAVE, I hauled her chunky fat arse back inside the paddock, I scared the living daylights out of her, she jumped up and both hind feet smacked me in the thigh/hip. Lucky it wasn't my face so I count myself lucky there!

Between the horses and chooks it's no wonder I am getting grey hair!

Penelope - she was great at play acting

FYI ... It's not "grey hair," it's "Arctic Grey." So, those aren't senior moments we're experiencing ... they're blonde ones!

I had forgotten about this picture. Sadly Maggie is no longer with us and the picture is from several years ago, but she was one of the first to terrify me on a regular basis.
RIP Maggie - I am sure you are still playing dead in the sunshine wherever you are.

Sorry she's no longer with you. She could have taught the rest of your flock how to pose so magnificently!
