Is this normal wing feather growth for a 2.5 week old? I don’t think it’s Angel wing as her are perfectly tucked and she has been on the correct food. I know the sheaths grow out first before the feathers just want to make sure this is looking good?

Normal. Angel wing, “which is the twisting of the wrist bones due to the weight of developing blood feathers,” won’t develop until she’s growing her first set of flight feathers, if it does.

Angel wing shows up when it dose when you see the deep penetrating pins show up. You will feel there down feel pinny first. It means there coming into feather. there closer to a 5-6 plus weeks when you feel it.

I did have one show up with it this year the blood feathers on her wings came in a bit early and fast. like overnight. then saw a little twist going on on the tips of the wings. 2 days in wraps supporting the wings all good excuse my messy house.

So the bone's to support the wings and the weight now growing from the wingtips will cause angel wing.

My opinion is you cant always pin the tips down but keeping them from flapping them also brings them in straight.

reason I posted is look at her size. thats when angel wing can happen. So when there down starts to feel pinny and you feal feather growth lower the protine to 17% or less till the blood feather come in and Up there Niacin to grow the bone structure.
