2 air sacs on double yolk duck egg??

Hello! So I found a double yolk duck egg the other day, and decided to incubate it! Today is only day 2. I took out the egg today so I could put some more water in the incubator. Why not candle it? So I did and it was WEIRD. There was a regular air sac on the normal end, then I moved the light to the other end, and saw a wide, oval shaped air sac? It kind of rippled when I turned the egg.. I attached pics below, if the pics are not very good I will try to get some better ones but my camera is not good at adjusting to light. First 2 pics aren't showing the air sacs, just the egg itself. 3rd pic not very good, but that is the normal air sac. 4th one is the weird second one.

Double yolkers aren't worth incubating. It will quit before hatch and that's always disappointing. If you have the benefit of knowing it's not a suitable egg to set beforehand, best not to incubate it at all.

if it develops, it more than likely wont survive to hatch-
Occassionally they do survive, but thats rare.
I'm going to follow this thread and see what happens!

I have heard that with double yolk eggs usually one of the yolks out competes the other one, and only one hatches. But one is better than nothing.

depends, I think usually one pips the air cell, the second external pips the wrong end, if the second one bleeds out, I think it can end up bringing the first down with it. But I'm interested to see what happens! What day is it on now? Can you tell if it's developing yet?

It is on day 4 now, it is too early to see if it is developing yet.

that's fair! It could take a few more days. I've only hatched ducks once, but the most amazing thing to me was that I managed to see development during day one for one egg....! It started as a very faint greyish dot in the yolk, incredibly easy to miss but I noticed it. This egg I decided to candle daily for a while, and I'm glad I did because it was incredible!
The dot turned slightly pink, and expanded into a blood island over the following days, by day 5, I could see the embryo and start of veining!
It was incredible, but never experienced it so clear with any other eggs-
sorry for the the rant, just sharing the interesting experience!
