I can only hope you are a licensed veterinarian, otherwise I imagine you are violating a whole lot of laws right here. You are using anaesthesia for those cat neuters, right? My mom used me tell me stories of her dad stuffing the cat down into the boot to do the castration. WOW! Hope we have progressed WAY beyond brutacaine!

I only hope you are licensed in whatever you are trying to dictate. I take very good care of my animals unlike some people who starve them and neglect them. Obviously you are a city person who has is not country. It is not unusual to have mess of cats on farm. Not all farmers take as good of care of their cats as I do.
I do not have to be a veterinarian to take care of my own livestock but I would have to be licensed vet to charge you fee to take care of your animals and to prescribe prescription medication. I use lidocaine and do not put a cat to sleep but I am alot nicer than alot of ppl who stuff a cat in a boot and take a pair of dykes and cut off their nuts. I also worm my cats regularly and I also vaccinate them regularly.
Are you a hypocrit or are you animals all taken care of with their vacinations and wormings. You sound like a know it all city person "Wait, let me just ask you, cause you know everything"
Maybe you are one of those city people who think let me take him out in country and dump him out for animals you don't want
I think maybe you should learn how to have some manners and talk nice instead of a hateful know it all!

Just so you are aware, lidocaine only numbs the sack itself, it does Not numb his testicles and I think that is horrible to do to a cat, I imagine there is a lot of screaming, I know it takes a few mins to do But it is still an awful thing to do to an animal....and you can get off your High horse talking about how well cared for your animals are, you are continuing to let them multiply and those female kittens Have to be getting pregnant on their First heat. You can praise yourself till youre blue in the face and you aren't going to win this one....you should either spay your females OR give them up so someone can do the right thing by them. Ive seen to many put down because the cat population is out of control and it is so sad. Yes farms do have a lot of cats, not sure about 66 tho....but the farmers I know make Sure they have theirs spayed/neutered so they don't have cats inbreeding and multiplying all over the place. I read ALL the time in here how people are having probs with strays eating their chicks and chickens.....Welllll I wonder why????!!!! Im done with this conversation because you obvs think you are doing Nothing wrong, Wake up

I'm not a mod, but even I can see this thread had gone to an unhappy place.

@ Julie NKC... so glad that you found your one bird... hope your new kitten

and your birds have a wonderful long life together!

It did get very sidetracked.....BUT back on track..............I hope you did find your other chicken as well, was hoping maybe she got spooked and came back?

....It's awful when you don't Know what happened to them

Found her! She was way in the back stuck in the foundation of an old shed. Apparently she ran to hid there and couldn't get back out. Luckily for her this morning she started peeping loud and I finally heard her, guess she was hungry lol.
As far as the kitten, I have more research to do but am leaning towards a pair of guard geese....

YAY. so glad you found her and maybe those stray cats aren't so bad?, they could have gotten her there, so hope they won't bother your chicks any longer.....poor baby must have been so scared, glad she is home

Im starting a nuisance animal business. I met a guy who had chickens......Its a long story and it ends with me hatching chickens and on this site, anyway do you folks know how much trouble you can get into doing what your doing. Im not trying to drum up business here, but OMG can you get stung. Wild stuff, traping without a liscence, furbearer out of season (now) ect.... If Game wardens find out about this stuff, they can turn your house inside out and you will be on their list. they can then come on your property day or night and look for traps. Cats and dogs can be jail time.
This guy I met had a problem of mising adult chikens and rabbits. Three large male coons later and its fine now.

When you learn to spell then maybe they will take you seriously, I've never had the issues others have had with cats/dogs etc (thank goodness) but I doubt very much anyone could get in trouble for defending their property and pets....just sayin

Castrating a cat using only lidocaine is an outright case of animal cruelty. It is extremely inhumane. You are also practicing veterinary medicine without a license. As ANY veterinarian can tell you cats are very sensitive to the effects of lidocaine and many will develop potentially life threatening heart problems from it's use. I am surprised you have not had cats die as a result of this torture. I have lived in the country and also work closely with Animal Care and Control. Where I live, what you are doing is illegal and would result in criminal charges.
