2 Classroom Chicks- Breed and Gender?

Anyone have guesses on these ones? Breed or gender? Their age is about 1 month old. We picked them up from a school that hatched them from a classroom project. They didnt want them, so we took them home with us. I have my thoughts on the two, but wanted to see what you guys thought.

Chick #1
4 toes, pale pinkish legs, pea comb.

Chick #2
5 toes, dark skin, small crest, feathers on feet. I am thinking a silkie mix. Single comb.

I would say male for sure on the first one, fifty/fifty on the second. Breed--part vulture? i have no idea...

number 1 mayb a cornish hen and number 2 looks like a salmon faverolle hen

I know for sure they are not pure, they are crosses of some sort. Thanks for the responses so far

Yep Not pure breeds.

The first looks like a game cross and the second is a silkie cross.

I say both boys. I'm 100% sure on the first one, and the 2nd is already getting wattles so I'm saying roo there too.

not sure on breed but the 2nd one looks like it has silkie in it and they both look lke roos

I had a feeling they were both roos. Oh well...
