i have 2 pekin ducklings, bonnie and clyde. bonnie is tiny and delicate and is a crossbeak and has breathing and eating issues. i was a mother hen to her, making her life easier. today i was holding them both earlier. clyde jumped over and pushed bonnie off. she fell and we picked her up and watched her struggle and die, nothing we could do. my husband made her a nice grave. i havent stopped crying since and clyde has been super clingy and wont leave our sight. :(

My heart goes out to you. Very hard when we lose our babies. Nothing you could have done...just an accident. So glad she had ya'll for parents and that she got to feel your love for her and had an incredible life in the time that she had it. I pray you don't play the "what if" head game with yourself. We have all lost some babies and no matter how short or long you have been raising babies...we still all go through it. Loved your names btw.....when you are able, please focus on the fun moments and the joy she brought you for that was her life. Her moment of death was not her life......prayers......

I have been playing the what if game but I'm getting better. Thank you for your kind message, it made me feel a little less sad.
