2 embryo in 1 egg? Please look at picture

I love all the ducks!! Naughty or nice.. they are all simply adorable!!

The truth is that they are probably bad assed enough to fight back and therefore they are the duck ninjas and defenders of the herd.

There's something to be said for the Naughty......

I like em!!

Let's play a game... Find the naughty birds... So far no more have fallen victim to the cat and the one left on my porch was buried next to fatty, Tinkerbell, Penelope, and Jane Doe..
The big ducks seem to have taken to the babies finally :)

Soooooo.....Do we just ask them? Like Dorthy in the Wizard of Oz???

Are you a Good Duck Or a Bad Duck?

They all look pretty darn innocent to me but what do I know....I live with a rubber duck who is sooo.. booooring.

Does anyone know if you have to obtain a permit to hatch only a few Mallards in an incubator?
Thanks,
Kat

I have hatched plenty of Mallards but I got them from a hatchery. Didn't have to have a permit because they are not wild Mallards... I'm not sure what the difference is.... I do know that if you find a nest of eggs your not supposed to incubate them but you can order them and incubate them...

Thanks Lucy,

You're the one that would surely know!!

I wonder if you have to have a permit to keep them after they're born?
I don't know why I am interested as my city only lets you have chickens in the back yard and only up to five....no roos.

However, hubby has talked about finding us a place out of the city with a small pond........hmmmm..........my mind is working overtime now.

How are you feeling Lucy, how's it going since your last chemo?

I pray for your complete recovery......

Blessings your way,
Kat

Hello my dear friends, it's been a few days since I last posted, and wanted to let everyone one know all is well with me and the ducks. The fab 5 are growing slowly lol and the rebel ducks are also doing great. I after keeping the 2 I managed to catch in the garage decided to let them lose to be with the 2 I wasn't able to catch. They are all doing well and so far we have had no fatalities. I'm having a port put in on Friday to finish out my treatments so that's good news, hopefully my scans, and blood work will all stay clear and I can positively say I beat this here very soon. I have spent a lot of time down at the pond and have a ton of pictures to post, I hope you all enjoy them :) can't wait to hear back from everyone :)
