I have a makeshift "crate" they can travel in, and a few pounds of layer feed. They've been perfectly healthy for 2 years, one is finishing molting and one is starting.

They sleep in the garage in the crate and stay in the yard all day, except that one time they slipped under the gate.

You don't need much extra straight away to keep them happy as they been.

Time is running out, my little one didn't hesitate when saying, "Yeah I'll eat em", after questioned yesterday.
