2 month old chick can’t stand

Apart from falling on one side regularly and not holding itself up my 2 month old chick is eating and drinking and is lovely company. I am not sure what to do as she was walking for 2 weeks to a month but now one side of her is letting her down and her wings won’t hold her up. It’s almost like she’s walking on tip-toes and tripping over herself. Please help me

This is likely an avian virus making her lame. But it could be from treatable things, as well. A virus isn't treatable, but a nutritional deficiency is. Give her vitamin E 400iu daily, and a half a tablet of B-complex. I like B 100 complex since it has the most of the particular B vitamins she may be running short on.

She is on antibiotics and is acting completely fine eating and drinking but I also think she’s ceasing up during the night as she is better later. But the one side is always dirty as she is always lying on that side

I had a chick that stopped walking all together. I started him on vitamins and he got better and turned into my beautiful and sweet Harvey! He grew too fast for his legs and body to hold him. After a month he was fine! Give vitamins a try. Won't hurt the other chickens either. Good Luck! I hope it works for you too.

Just popping in to say that antibiotics work against bacteria only, not viruses. So being on them doesn't change the likelihood of it being a virus.

I was reading your older educational threads. My question is: What is the best form to give the Vit E? Its found in a oil, gel cap and pill form.
For the B complex, you said to cut a half the tablet.
Your always so knowledgeable and kind that I'm going to add you to my follow list.
