2 months on and Older Hens will not accept new Ones

The little ones have been out with the hens for about 10 days after being separated for about 2 -3 weeks.
The one RIR chases them every so often and occasionally the others. No injuries or feathers pulled. They just peepscream and you know its happening. There is actually 2 bushes they can hide in and behind, one on each side of the little coop on the right.I also fenced them off in the big enclosure too. They can also go in the big coop on the left and thru that which gives them the whole length of my house. We went thru this last year when the 4 hens were little I guess Ive just forgotten how mean it seems. Time will make it stop as they get bigger?.
😂 this stopped the RIR from knocking them off the roost tonight.

I wouldn't worry about it then. Yes the older ones will harass them but as long as they aren't hurt and aren't prevented from eating, drinking, etc. I don't see it as a problem. They won't fully integrate in with the older birds until they reach point of lay.

Awesome then I'll quit worrying.
Oddly, when I went outside last night to make sure the babies were inside, somewhere, instead if on top of the flowers or just outside, I found them up on the roost with everybody else!!! So happy that they are finally being accepted.

Hi just an update on my flock. My coop cage is identical to yours and I found my big girls were territorial. I would let them all out on the grass whilst supervised and feed them oats(their fav) near each other. Eventually (it took a couple weeks), I would see them foraging near each other with just the small pecks you expect within the pecking order. They all sleep together fine now.

See if you have any luck by letting them on to mutual ground 🤞😊

They are on mutual ground. One of my RIR's just keeps chasing the 2 little ones. At night after they others are all up on the roost the little ones try to get up there and she really is mean to them. She knocks them off and they would just stay down if I didn't intervene. I scoot her over and put the little ones on the back bar and drop the little towel.
She doesn't see them and she's happy.

You'll need a fence to separate them & provide extra feeders and waterers until they're old enough to "earn" their spot in the flock (pecking order) My pullets were added to the flock at 2 weeks old (look but don't touch)and learned to run if any of the Doms came near them. They're bigger than my Dominiques & still run(with no one chasing them).

I did all that and still have seperate feeders and waterers. One RIR, Penny, just keeps going after Mildred, the Delaware, in particular. The baby RIR, Tooter, is scared to death of Penny. During the day Mildred runs but she comes right back and hangs out.
I believe my Barred Rock Cookie is the boss. Shes the one who does all the hawk or danger warnings and is first on the roost. But she doesn't bother the new chicks at all anymore. It's just Penny 90% of the time.
Roosting time is another story.
