Just scored to girls and when I went to pick up I got 11 eggs with them and the one hen is nesting on them. What you think survival rate will be been nesting 2 weeks
What are your temps? I'd think if the goose went right back to sitting and she wasn't off the nest too long they should be fine. But lets see what @psue thinks.
Well out the 21 eggs. 9 have geese in them I took 4 the eggs put in the bator and left the other 5 with the goose but she been up all day so is say I lost them
what's your temps? egg will survive a bit of cool down... but if she isn't back on the nest in the morning.. I'd but them in the incubator and see if you can save any of them
A couple weeks ago we found out goose with a hidden nest of 11 eggs. We moved her and the nest home but she wanted nothing to do with the eggs after that. She was off of them for about 24 hours before I was able to get an incubator and put the eggs in it. I think someone else, probably one of the muscovies on the pond, was setting on the eggs because 2 weeks later we had 3 hatch! The rest of the eggs were showing fertile so they are still in the incubator. Just waiting to see if we will get anymore. Best of luck! I would still try to set them in the incubator and see what happens.
Well today is a good day wen too turn eggs and we got a goose hatching out just shows you what the eggs can go threw I drove hour home after mom had been sitting on the eggs for two weeks
