Look what hubby just found: blue, green, brown. Three hens. Which I knew which ones. So very exciting.

I assume the brown is from one of the four Orpingtons as they hatched June 29. Also have some Easter Eggers hatched same day.

Woohoo! I love having a colorful basket! So far, we have medium brown, medium brown with tiny speckles, tan, tan with pinkish tint, & baby blue eggs from our June girls! Anxiously awaiting on my little Olive Egger (hoping she lays green), Easter Egger, and French Black Copper Marans for chocolate eggs! The other two are tan layers, maybe I’ll get lucky & one will lay pale tan! I would take a pic but DS is growing and he eats the eggs as soon as I collect them, getting about 3 each day for now! Can’t wait til we have enough to share w the neighbors! I did give my next-door-neighbor a dozen from the farm since she has to put up with the screeches from my Welsummer every time she lays an egg.
