2 Pullets: Welsummer and ???

It's pretty heavy bodied, so it definitely has something like Orpington in it or Cochin. The comb I can't see well enough to say if it's a pea comb or a rose comb.

Thanks!! See how her legs are blue but also some yellow..... Would her being a mix explain that - ?
Yes, that's why originally though a Orpington crossed with something like a Wyandotte. She would get the yellow and the comb type from the Wyandotte and the body type and possibly the color from a blue Orpington.

I have a pullet that looks exactly like yours! She was advertised as a Wyandotte, but you never really know with feed store chicks. I've spent more time than I care to admit trying to pin down her breed

Oh wow, yes, looks SO similar. I keep telling myself - who cares, let it go, you may never know how exactly this chicken came to be, lol. But it's fun and educational and I learn so much from everyone's comments! I'm on my 2nd flock and I know a lot more than I did with the first one but already looking forward to the 3rd because of what I've learned about different breeds. I notice yours has the same "rumpless" look that mine has. This is really noticeable compared to my other 4 (BR, RIR, BO, Welsummer). Thanks so much for the pic! Glad I'm not alone ! :frow
