My flock consists of 4 chickens hens, 2 female ducks, and a roo. So my current rooster has good temperment but only mates with the 2 ducks and 1 hen. He's very gentle... however he keeps attacking 1 hen (buff orp) and doesn't want to do anything with her. She is lonely and stressed.

I found a free buff orpington roo near me about the same age and very good. Would adding that roo to the flock be fine? He would be a great pair to the buff hen and eventually make pure breed chicks.

We are free ranging all day on 9 acres so there would be plenty of space. At night, they are shut in a 10x20 run. I don't want to sell my current roo or buff because they was raised by me from birth and got quite attatched to me like little puppies. Thank you all!

One rooster is all you need unless you get more hens. Roosters can't mate with ducks. You might consider a drake.

I know Roos can't mate with ducks but he tries is what I mean haha. My current roo like stated above only goes after one hen and the ducks. The other 3 are untouched.

How old are the birds you have now?
Adding another male would probably not be a good idea.

If a male is mounting another species and attacking one of it's own,
get him out of there and keep him separated.

Is the 10x20 'run' and enclosed predator proof coop?
Pics would help.

Yes here is a picture! Birds are about 6 months old, all laying. Picking up the another rooster this Monday and see which one I will keep. Parting with my current one will be hard but him being the blood brother to all of them causing inbreeding and him being aggressive, I'll have to find him a pet home.

Why does he need a "pet home" if he is aggressive?

It sounds like you would like to hatch from your flock with the new male. Half the offspring on average will be cockerels. You will need a plan on what to do with them all.

Also is that run fitted with chicken wire or hardware cloth? Chicken wire only keeps chickens in, it won't do anything to keep determined predators out.

It is not chicken wire, it is galvanized and has the same strength as hardware cloth. I used the wrong word "aggressive". He's just being mean to one hen. Otherwise he is friendly to others and loves humans. He sleeps on my lap sometimes. We are bonded to each other and I just don't want him to be in the freezer. The future Roos will be given away locally.

That ebay ad doesn't show the mesh close up...
....but others like that show hexagonal chicken wire.
Have seen this enclosure on another thread here, had chicken wire.
Doesn't matter if it's galvanized,
most fencing and mesh is galvanized,
the wire gauge and hole size is what matters.
Buyer Beware.
