Hi first time chicken owner. I'm not allowed to own roosters in my city so it'd be best if I can identify them early and return them to the store. I've looked up online and makes don't usually have tail feathers but the chicks comb is pretty defined this young.

Unfortunately chicks this young are hard to sex. Gender specific feathers/patterns don't start to show until around 12 weeks. You'll want to look at comb and wattle development starting around 4 weeks, sometimes it can take 6-8 weeks to be sure.

I’ve been looking with someone with an Orpington to help sex their chicks :D
I have a couple questions that might help define this, I have 4 buff Orpington chicks so im somewhat experienced lol

Did you get them from TSC, if so in the pullet section?

At what age did she/he get their tail feathers
Also what age did you get them?
And right now how old is he/she and send more photos, thanks~
