Is there a standard (or at least roughly) for when a chick gets wattles if its a roo? My favorite chick (which I started suspecting roo a few days ago at 1.5 weeks) is getting so much bigger than the chicks that are a little older and now I see the start of wattles, it's sibling that is 2 days older has nothing coming in and has a very small comb. When does the comb change color? I know everyone thinks I am crazy but I think that my chicks are easy to sex (am going to keep track to see if I am right). Also I have a chick that is 1.5 weeks and has a comb noticibly bigger than it's 2.3 week sibling. Is this all because they are mutts? Maybe?
