2009 Quilt block of the month - February

[Chicken Woman]

Well my sweet DH always makes coffee and brings it to me as i get out of the shower in the morning. Just like I like it half coffee half vanilla caramel creamer !

Then i make breakfast for him and my son.

Then out to my girls in the coop. Don't stay to long as it has been soooo cold.

IM having fun working on my blocks for Feb. and waiting for my eggs to hatch next Thursday.

Well, everyone is in bed I bet, and here I am (yawn...) I picked up my lil machine today and for practice, started sewing scraps i had around and ended up sewing a whole 3.5 x 3. top for a lap quilt.

I feel like I know my little machine quite well now.

Now, for that quilt block top....I'm ready. I went to get fabric at Won'tWork's where I got the machine, and there was no one around to cut the fabric for me! Try to get someone in that store

So, forget it I'll go somewhere else for fabric tomorrow. But I'm having FUN! Hope you all are happy sewing peeps this weekend.

I'll be checking in tomorrow morning with my coffee.

How do I get in for the quilt blocks. And I agree 1/2 creamer is the best way to drink coffee.....Cars have 2 cup holders 1 for coffee, one for Diet Coke....(I get up at 5AM and am NOT a morning person!) mary

Morning person here...coffee lover, starbucks, cheap stuff, frappacino (cold coffee) any coffee is good coffee to me..LOVE my morning coffee..diet pepsi with lunch though!

I am the only coffee drinker in my family and, unfortunatley, the only morning person!!! Lucky me to have my online friends..some of whom are chipper in the mornings and the others, well, I still like them too, lol!

I love the smell of fresh, properly brewed coffee in the morning, but I can't drink it. However, A cold Mountain Dew gives me my caffiene to get the day going. If I drink water it better be mixed with Kool-Aid in the morning, and a good shot of bourbon in the evening.

I too get up early from long habit I suppose, and while I'm not grumpey per se, neither am I 'little miss sunshine'. I don't expect/require others be cheerful either, but considerate/polite is totally required!!

I -NEED- a nice hot cup of coffee, and at least a half hour or so of quiet time to get my morning off to the right start. Also, I only drink one cuppa coffee a day! The big trick is to never let it go dry! Once a day, all day!! Caffeine is my drug of choice!!

I bought a bunch of fleece from walmart a few months ago - and SHEESH, the woman they had cutting was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW I could have gotten all my groceries and checked out before she was done. I almost picked up the scissors and "helped" her.

Hey Girls,

I haven't had a chance to read the last few pages in the last few days...I will....but I was told today by a visiting minister's wife about a dry goods store that has great prices...and you buy by the bolt at wholesale price

It's at Batesville, Arkansas it's called Marshalls Dry Goods store.
You can purchase online, and the price is still great.

I will try to chat more tomorrow....
We've got our Singing Supper tonight, and I'm bringing chili...which is not finished...
