Hi! I've been running around like crazy all day long it seems.

I did manage to finish the quilt and I gave it to my grandma-in-law today. She was happy. Grandpa always takes the quilt in the evenings when they're watching TV and she always ends up covering up with her coat! Now she has a quilt all her own. I will share pics... I'm working on uploading them now.

I completely missed getting to the post office today to send out my blocks for the swap, so I'll have to do that Monday. Sorry about that.

I spent part of the day getting things together for tomorrow afternoon's cleaning party at the new house. I had to get some groceries so I would be able to feed the whole crew! The fridge is stocked with water and pop and I'm making a huge batch of chicken stew.

Oh and chicken women... I am working on some blocks for the baby quilt. I have 3 so far... I hope to make a few more before I send them your way!

Ok, pics are finally uploaded (darn dial-up).

The finished product. The pattern is based off of "Diagonal Paths" but I kind of simplified it because I didn't see the need to make it more complicated. It took me just under 3 weeks from start to finish (around work, packing to move, etc). It is machine pieced and hand quilted (just because I really enjoy hand quilting).

The top is my favorite part. There's a heart in the center with a letter K in it (her name is Karen), then vines and flowers.
