Does anybody else have trouble finding 12.5 block patterns? It seems like all of the patterns I have/find are 12 in.

Thank you, your blocks always look great. The colors don't look that great on the comouter screen. A couple of seems don't match up--it drives me crazy when they don't.

It seems like mine are never quite 12.5, more like 12 1/4/.

Oh, I think your seams match up great! Honestly, the block looks perfect to me! I get annoyed by seams that don't match up, too! It's frustrating!

Sometimes mine end up that way, too (or sometimes they end up 13" x 12.5"). I NEED to get a 1/4" foot one of these days. I think that would help me some.

Okay...Since I'm new to the swap...If I'm reading the list correctly, I'll be making blocks for Ginbart and ChevygirlBeth.
Ginbart...you like country...nothing too bright
ChevygirlBeth....you like earthy tones, farm themes...No bright whites or pink.

I'm already pulling out fabrics and thinking of patterns
Those creative juices are beginning to flow

Oh, somebody...can't remember who it was.... asked about how to sew straight lines....I use that blue painters tape. I cut thru four or five layers at one time and line it up on the 1/4 inch seam allowance. This gives me a nice raised edge to guide the fabric thru the needle and this kind of tape leaves no residue on the material or the sewing machine. It can also be reused like a sticky note.

Welcome Nanakat and that is a great tip. Me I draw a line on my machine with peranant marker as the 1/4 in foot is not really a 1/4 inch. Seen your work on the sewing club board nice work. Hand sewing one day I might just have to try that LOL not today LOL.

Everyone's blocks are soooooooooo beautiful I am amazed at the talent of the people in these swaps and I am so glad to be a part of them.

Thank you Acres for being such a wonder and taking the time out of your busy day to continue with these monthly swaps.
