I would like to see links open in a new window or tab, instead of the tab you are on. Sometimes I like to open multiple links at once that someone has posted in a thread and not having to remember to right click to get it in a new tab would be nice.

Picture folders would also be awesome.

LOL, I asked for that one last year, but Nifty Claus couldn't get down the chimney due to the fire in the fireplace! It would sure make it easier to track threads.

Easier access to pictures that have been upload in order to put on posts. Also, easier uploading..... more then one at a time and land line friendly

Might be asking a little to much now...... hehehe.

I just realized something that is really getting to me.

Helpful, sticky type articles can be found in different places, so they're hard to find.

For example, i have gone to find the "bumblefoot surgery" tutorial several times, and every time it takes me forever. Here's why. There's a wonderful sticky in the emergencies section that includes links to very helpful subject matter, but it doesn't include the bumblefoot surgery. In order to find the bumblefoot surgery, you have to go to the learning center and then to the diseases, where you can finally find bumblefoot surgery and one or two other things, but not much.

There needs to be a place to go for all those easy references, not several that are split up by criteria we (or maybe just i ) don't understand.

a simple way to access your buddy list. and maybe a box where you can write notes to yourself reminding you who these people are ie "barnevelder guy" or "Lady I got my cochin eggs from" etc. lol i get some people confused on here.... especially because there are so many users i'm just really bad with names. especially when you can't see their faces.

The best thread (IMO) on this forum "How to deal with and agressive Roo by Yazzo" has been shut down due to 2 or 3 individuals who hijacked it and started bickering and calling eachother names. It was totally off subject, rude and distracting. The moderator was RIGHT to shut it down, but I wish the Moderator had another option:

I would like the Moderators to be able to "shut off" access to a thread by individuals who are bickering back and forth in a way that it shuts down the whole thread. Or pehaps put those individuals on a probation type of system after a PM or public warning from the Moderator.
The forum is for the excange of ideas and thoughts, experiences and passions. Those who can't grow up and accept that any one else would have a different opinion should have consequences.

There should be an appeal system in place in case a Moderator gets out of hand or personally miffed. This appeal should be by a court of peers and perhaps a section you could go to as members devoted to this: was the moderator out of line? Should this person be on probation? Yea or nea.

I agree that it would be nice if moderators had the option to limit discussion instead of stopping it altogether, when a thread has a perfectly legitimate subject basis.

However, to have a jury of the moderator's peers would make for very frustrated moderators, who are already trying hard to be fair and working hard and giving of their personal time on a voluntary basis. I think a forum like this one cannot be "ruled by the people." It has to be a monarchy; we have King Nifty, and he is a benevolent monarch, so we're all good. We get to have our "say" by choosing to participate in the forum. The number of people who happily participate in this forum is the mark of the "people's" approval.

As a friend of mine said, this is their playground; they can have whatever rules they want, and if i don't like their rules, i don't have to play in their playground.

There are many reasons why our moderators do what they do. If there are questions or issues with moderation please contact a staff member directly.

Let's keep this thread focused on suggestion and feedback around tools and features that should be added to the forum.

Thanks!
