2010 What Do You Want Added To The BYC Forum & WebSite?

Well, it's probably getting too late into 2010 to ask for this, but maybe it can be added to the 2011 wish list:

I would love to be able to search within particular threads - maybe at the top of a thread, a "Search this Thread" feature. I spend a lot of time scrolling thru pages and pages and pages within particular threads for posts related to specific topics. For example, if I want to search thru the "Cochin Thread" for all posts discussing "AI", or maybe the color "Golden Laced".

PS - Folders to sort our Uploaded Images into still my number one wish!!

Thank you for asking! I'd like to be able to go directly from posting a reply to Show Your Posts. It's inefficient for me to have to go from having sent a reply to Show Recent Posts, and then having to scroll down to Show Your Posts to get back to that page. Each day I like to check my posts and see if there is anything new added to the conversation, and add new replies if needed.

You can scroll up to "Profile" and you will see "Show all posts". They will be listed as newest first.

When I log on to BYC I like to first check Show Your Posts to see if there are any new replies added to the conversation and make return replies if I want. The format of that page is the handiest for me, better than the Profile page or having a message sent to my email. I like having them all on one page in that format.

What I'd like is to have the option after sending a reply to a message to click Show Your Posts at the bottom of the page in addition to the Show Recent Posts that's already there. Thank you for trying to make it happen!

How about a lot more Smilies? And a way to mark a thread "Favorite" or "Watch", to follow a conversation.

A "searth this thread" would be amazing! Especially for some of the breed threads that have 100's of pages!

As for the breeds, if you can, consoladate into one thread. There are several threads starting off with new ones and we had to let them know there is a thread for this particuar breed. I am aware of the mods locking up started threads and give them the link they can show or ask about the breeds. That is a good idea! I know its alot of pages to go thru but the information listed in there has loads of valuable insights, particuarly if someone took the time to narrate the breed's history and you would sit there like a book. I once suggested to do a series when the thread gets too long.....like a Part Two and Part Three threads and somehow make the original thread in a library that you can click on it. That original will never be taken out of the website, there permantely as long as needed.

One more day in 2010!!! I think it'd be nice to be able to send one message (in the 'Message' section of the forum) to multiple people. For example, I could open up a new message and where it says "to" I could say to: EweSheep; rilly10; Jan336

So, then if I wanted to send then all the same message without having to copy and paste the message three different times, that'd be much MUCH easier.
