I have one coop that includes an attached run. It now houses four GSL pullets (Tigerlily, Poppy, Flutter, and Gamma) but will soon house more! I have 15 eggs in the incubator- 3 BRs, 3 RIRS, 3 Delawares, 3 White Leghorns, and 3 BOs. I think 13 of them are alive. The county lets people own 24 poultry per acre, and the property plot that my family owns is a quarter acre. That lets us have 6 chickens. Mom doesn't allow roosters, so they all have to be females. Since so many are hatching and all the breeds are so pretty, Mom's allowing me to keep 3 of the chicks instead of 2. That will make my flock 7 hens!!! I can't wait- 9 days till the hatch!
