I got seeds today! Thank you! I cant remember what alk I had lol....I also got mealworms that were dead! Yay! And another package that were alive....yikes!

I have a questions for all you seed/plant savvy people. I have a large maple tree that grows right next to my veggie garden. This spring there are tons of tiny plants sprouting up. Can you tell me if these are maple starts? They are about 2 inches tall right now, green on top with red stem and under the leaves. I tasted it and it tastes a little like lettuce, but more bitter. I tried to dig up the roots and see if it was originating from those whirly birds, but could not find them. Any help is appreciated!

They might be give them more time to put on the leaves. I'd dig them up with a lot of dirt around them so as not to disturb the roots too much and put them in a pot so you can easily replant the tree where you want.
