2014 breeding season begins, post your results

I just know if you have doubt dont bust em till your others hatch. That is if you aint hurting for room in your bators. I lost 2 of mine a little bit back I thought were bad when I candled them. When I cracked them open for bait for my trap I killed off two good developers.

I've never seen it like that. Usually it looks something like this when I do it.
Uhh, yah... lol... that's pretty much what all undeveloped and/or infertile eggs look like birdrain.

I guess you missed it, but Kathy's duck eggs are just about to hatch. They just have weirdly positioned air cells. But even with normal positioned air cells there's going to be a big difference on how they should look, compared to the pic you posted, lol.

Not to change the subject here but everyone see what weathers coming eastward tonight out of the great plains? Winds 70 plus mph, hail 2-3" in size and heavy rains. I tried all day to locate a portable generator but no luck. Incubator has 3 trays overstuffed with pea eggs(close to 260 eggs) and if we lose power for 5-6 hours no hatch a longs for weeks. Just put 4 taupe eggs in Sunday nite from last weeks egg laying too. I'm dreading this!!

We just got hit by a wind storm yesterday. I lost power for 3 hours. That duck egg was just layed that day not to mention there is a reason why you can't tell if it's fertile. It was fertile til we ate it. Congratulations on the ducklings

Yikes sounds like a nightmare for sure! That is always my #1 worry when I have something in the incubator is a power outage. I hope you don't have any issues.

Ack, that's a nightmare in the making... no sleep for you tonight I bet. Better get your nest built, cuz if you lose power you may be sittin' on a huge pile of eggs 'til the power comes back on

Hope the storm misses you, your Peacocks' trains and your power lines. Be safe!

I can tell but you can't tell in that photo. You would have to see the other photo and probably I would need to point it out. Problem is that they are saying this is valuable info so I should keep it to "myself" and make money off of it. Same method works for all birds. I told you guys multiple times but they don't believe me so I just won't argue and I shall keep the secret to "myself."

birdrain, lol... give it a rest lil buddy. If you've been told to keep your egg fertility secret to yourself... then by all means, follow their advice!

So... (purposely changing the subject), you should be able to see development in Jadea's eggs by now, how do they look?

And did you worm your flock with Safeguard or Valbazen yet???
