Have you checked the navel?
Many times when they stay in the shell to long they will defecate in it and contaminate the navel, the one i found shrink wrapped did that it was touch and go for a couple days but this morning it is fine, lots of finger feeding we feed and poly vi sol and treated the navel with neosporen.

He did not poop in the shell, there was a gob of clotted blood at the navel but when he pulled himself free it stayed in the shell. Navel looked good and I always put a dab of triple antibiotic on every navel to be sure. I tried getting water with vit. in it into him and he makes a strange motion almost like an exaggerated swallowing like something is stuck in his throat, but it's just water, so it can't be stuck.

If I took a picture of a bronze, purple and india blue peachick all side by side does anyone here think they can pick who is who? Or better yet, correctly sex them at about 4 days old??

I think I could tell the IB from the Purple, having hatched both before.. I've never hatched a bronze though, but would love to see pics as I have 4 eggs due to hatch on the 25th that could be Bronze, Bronze BS or BS split to Bronze. It would be a good reference for me. As for sexing them, I hope you have a valid fishing license FBC!

All but one are under yellow Mama now. That one is one that I should cull, but can't quite yet. It had tried to internally pip through the shell, not the air cell! Still has a super fat neck and belly, and because of it, couldn't walk, so it was on it's hocks and now has two slipped tendons. For now it's in sling and I'll be tubing it. -Kathy
Commiseration time. Noodle is fading fast. :( I should cull as well, but I think nature is taking care of it for me and quickly. He/she will not eat or drink and when I try to get some water in it (drops), it seems to almost be choking, like it cannot swallow. I think there is something internal that is not right. Risk we take with helping I suppose. He pipped away from the air cell as well and never would have made it out if he had been under a hen. The other are doing great and starting to try and fly, he cannot stand unassisted. It is a shame, as the markings were really cool. :hit
So sorry... I suspect mine is not far behind Noodle. :( My guy hasn't pooped yet, has a bloated belly and still has a bunch of swelling on his neck. -Kathy

You should not get SP chicks from that pen but you never know. They might have been split to other stuff and you just were not told. If that is a patch of color by your thumb It would seem SP is a possibility but it may just be a really pretty pied.
So when i will be able to know if his color is bronze or just splading? The male in this pen don't carry any white eye gene that why i was surprised to get sp chicks from this pen, can a pied chick get more than 90% white color of his body? Shouldn't this make him sp?
