2015 August hatch-a-long!!

Opps! Almost missed out on August's Hatch. I have 18 Olive Eggers and 6 BLRW eggs. Next Tuesday will be Day 21.

Miniature Paint Silkie egg infront of it is pipped the wrong way, egg to the left has pipped and the egg behind is rocking



Bantam Paint this little one is almost double the size of the mini paint

I definitely know what you mean. It stinks that it happens often though. And I have 4 2 week old welsummer chicks and they are just the cutest little things.

Day 12 for my flock's eggs in the incubator. Out the 12 I set, only 7 have developed. All the air cells are growing, and there's less than a week till lock down. I'm excited to see what hatches.

They're adorable! Are they mutts? I'm not the best with identifying breeds as chicks

Lol! Thanks. Well.....maybe??? I know who the dad is. But not his breed. I have the mother down to two hens. One is an Austrolorp and one....again...I don't know.

The only hen I had that had their colors, is dead.

. She was killed recently by a black snake. But I tried hatching the last of her eggs. (Snake ate at least 10). They were not fertile. So as much as I wanted to carry her spirit on...I did not succeed. The 2 bantams are purebred. Both parents are bantam. That I do know.
