Have a mix 5 Bantams 2 full?
I DID IT!!!! No bator issues and 6 babies, only 2 more pips out of 12 viable.........this is day 21..........pips have been there since yesterday early afternoon..........something tells me they may just not be strong babies. DID NOT open bator even once. Now I need to get the babies out........they're all over the place...
Have a 4x3x4 chicken coop 3 nest boxes hanging out the back and a Run that's 3x10 how many birds can I fit.??? Some please help![]()
Here's the way my chicken math works....you can have twice as many bantams as lf, so fill it up with little chickens. When you realize they are over crowded, build a second and third coop. See?
No one out yet this morning, but the barnvelders, has also pipped for a total of 3 so far!
See that's how I do it too! So long as there's no fighting outside normal pecking order stuff it was cool with me.
thats what I do! I never once figured space/needs out![]()
if it gets too stinky and I cant keep up with cleaning it, I need another coop yes???
. I had 2 assists if i remember right. One of the D'uccle chicks had curled toes and other issues I'm sure. When we put "booties" on it, instead of trying to walk/be mobile, it would just fall over and lay there, not try and move. My husband tried nursing it/giving it sugar water/electrolyte water, etc. It wouldn't eat. After 2 days it passed. So down to 5 from 11. Not bad still. BUT we have 1 BCM with RSS/failure to thrive or some such. Eats, drinks, and is merry, just the size of a 2-3 day old instead of a 2 week old. Speedy the D'uccle is starting to get bigger than Squeaker (fka Siren) now. And Squeaker's wing feathers are finally starting to come in!
