Deviled Chicken Eyes

Boil your eggs!
I use bantam eggs, I always have issues with large eggs. I cook the small eggs in the water for about 10 minutes. I put in a little vinegar and salt while they boil, it makes peeling easier and the salt helps eggs with cracks not leak. When the eggs are fine boiling, I run them under cold water.

The inside:
You will want to peel your eggs and cut them in half. Put the yolks in a separate bag. Once all the yolks are separate, add your mustard and mayo. This is totally personal preference! I put about 2 tablespoons each per 6 eggs or so. I also may sprinkle salt and pepper on it. When done, squish it all together!

The eyes:
Cut a small hole in the bag so you can squeeze the yolk mix into the whites. You can dye the yolks to make them more orange too. I even it so it looks like eyes and clean the white up some.

Details:
Put our tortilla or olive or whatever you choose for the pupil in the center. Get a toothpick, and with red food dye, trace veins in the white.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Hooray fellow contest winners! Soon I will have my video of my day 14 candling up. I'm so excited!

6 is awesome for this hatch!  Congrats!

Thanks, this last baby sure is taking his time. I am hoping for a boy as I already have 3 blrw pullets. And I hope his lacing is black. Ha don't want much. I really did have high hopes with these eggs until I read of your problems and the other ladies. I figure that 6 is actually pretty remarkable.

I blame part of my problems on a wonky incubator and thermometer/hygrometer inaccuracy. I'm sure you managed your hatch very well. Good job!

I won't be rushing into a hatch ever again. I think. Probably. I am going to be fiddling with my aquarium incubator/brooder to see if I can get the temperature and humidity to hold. I found plans for a diy turner that I want to try but I have to customize... a lot. If it works out I could get to a set it and forget it system that easily converts to brooder. Then I'll have to test it... but not on shipped eggs. That was a silly idea. I have so much to learn before I spend money on shipping eggs again.
