2015 New York Chickenstock

Rancher---my silkie hens are going to hatch out lots of babies just for you. And steal your tinfoil hat.

My incubators are up and running and fully packed! I should have silkie babies and reds and sexlinks and barred rock babies by the end of the month. So excited as I am so done with winter!

Metalla--if you have and wild plum trees available I would be interested in a couple. This time I will fort knox them better so the cheeps cant strip them bare and kill them!

Still pondering on a dish. Anyone interested in gluten free? I make a lot of tasty stuff that is gluten free as my body likes it better.

Die, winter, die.

Well that's good cuz I expect we'll go through quite a few when we play "Kick the Silkie" . AND the chicken version of Whack A Mole, "Whack a Silkie". AND the instead of a duck pond we'll do a "Silke Pond" And instead of a Bean Bag toss a "Silkie Toss".

OH YES WE DO!!

:) Got you down for 2 wild plums :) If they can get started without being chewed on - they stand up very well to chickens and rabbits and such .... Just got to wire wrap them the first year if you have chickies that do that - mine have too much space so never bother one thing too much.

For any newbies - the wild plums are the first to flower (great for bees) and smell delish ! have little thorn when they are young - but loose them when they are decent sized trees ... small purple plums that are very sweet - but they only seem to fruit every other year - not as a cycle - but since they flower out so early ..... they often loose fruit to early frost. You still get the flowers no matter what.

Your big ones are so pretty in the spring - standing underneath them you can just hear all the life in their branches and the bees buzzing :)

Are they black knot resistant? I would love to replace the ones in my orchard that got hit!!

Id like a couple wild plums ..how much were they ?
any chance you could find a sprout of the lilac for me ? Maybe the day before chicken stock ?
so it might grow ?

I'm not sure about blight - but I do have the parent tree here - and it is at least 30 years old - the ones in the picture are only 3 years old ! :) They fruited a little in that 3rd year. Birds beat me to most - but that was my fault. Nutty - I have you down for 2 plums at $5 each - you can cancel or add - Gramma Chick - sure - I'll see if there are any shoots off - but I didn't want to promise - I know for sure I only potted 2 in mid summer and they did great all summer long - I've mulched them and so they should be fine - just asking $5.00 as of course - they are not super big like one you get from a store.

Also - Nutty - I haven't put in my order yet - but below is what I for sure want to buy from you - and the list of all I have on reserve for others - If anyone out there wants to not do it - it is TOTALLY fine with me - I just need a list to make sure I have it all straight and all the trees tagged so everyone gets what they are expecting :)

CHICKEN STOCK ME BUYING: Nutty2 bags of cracked corn at 6.50 each $13.00 2 bags of layer Mash 100 lbs 16.50 $33.00

Still going to bring organic lip balm and body lotion - will have different scents and fragrance free (which still smells a little like beeswax)

Now who all is bringing plants?

I expect raspberries from Tab?

We may not be here in the next few years but I'm planing as though we are. This place may be a good buy by the time and when we sell. That'll be the time everything gets settled in and blooms and fruits all over the place.
