2015 New York Chickenstock

Ok I have been extremely busy so been kinda slacking on here. We have about a month until Chickenstock and am trying to get somethings figured out

1. Is anyone bringing hamburgs or hotdogs I will probably get hotdogs?

2. Everyone that is wanting feed do you have any idea around how much you are going to want? I want to make sure I have enough here.

Nutty - I think I should have a dozen Millie Flur D'Uccle eggs for you by chickenstock !!! :) they finally started - just when they HAD to .... been steady ever since the first egg showed up - just like last year.

Here is a list of everyone buying off me and a list for you Nutty - the prices are from when you first listed them - so you have changed what you have or the brands or prices - just let me know - but I'll get this list from you even if things change a little ....

thanks all !!!! If anyone wants to back out of a deal - let me know before I pack !

Metella - just checking - you are going to give my eggs to Pyxis to hatch right? 'Cos I don't have the ability to hatch here.....

I'm collecting yours now - they will go in the incubator in a few days - so that they are set to be hatched out before our trip out ! :) Once yours go in - then I can save for Nutty - but it looks like no problemo now - those girls had me worried for a while ! I guess they needed some sunshine.

Anyone going from the Syracuse area, Maines has a good deal on large quantities of burgers and dogs. If we WERE coming we would have brought the burgers. All premade of course.

Any spare plum trees ?
I dont need blue eggs any more ...these arent bright blue either ..a light blue .they are all developing..
I am so pleased with my broodys ...hoping for more hens of course ...I didnt select eggs I just used all 10 ...

I may have extra plums - they are a little slower to bud out - and I don't want to count any until they show they made it through the winter ..... so if so - how many do you want ?

I have you down for a small heritage purple lilac for $5 ... realize it is small - but potted and budding out nicely after this winter .....

:)

Also will be sending

Two bars of " Morning Mist Farms" soap. Tea tree and Hunters. She makes soap and does the demonstrations at the NYS Fair each year. I spend about $40 each year just on her soaps. She's very good. She also does mail order but I can't see paying postage when I'm right there at the fair.

My grandson has been going into my dresser drawer after the soaps. I guess he likes the smell. My favorite is her Patchouli soap.

Also sending an assortment of old cookbooks, St. Peter's Church Brockville Ontario, Secret of the Jam cupboard, Fun-filled Butter Cookie cookbook, Yankee's Main Dish Church supper cookbook 1980, Yankee Magazines Country Inn Breakfast cookbook, and Food Preservation in Alabama.

Perhaps if this "Chickenstock" thing continues we can do a "New York Chickenstock cookbook" Folks and their families can submit their favorites plus recipes Gramma used to make. How does that sound?

My mother used to make some kind of dumpling we called Ka Knifflies. Sounded out. I don't know the spelling. Made with flour and eggs is all I know. Dropped into boiling water and served with fried onions.

I may find it someday.
