2015 New York Chickenstock

I got some chicks from greenfire farms. They are a rare breed mix. I was trying for a silver double laced barnevelder roo...... No such luck. I am looking to sell them as I already have the breeds or are not interested in them. They will be off heat by chickenstock and are vaccinated for mareks. There are 5 altsterier, 3 marsh daisies ( one appears to have a single comb) merlerault and lyonnaise. I'm pretty sure 2 are lyonnaise ( one is frizzle) the other 3 I'm not sure. It's hard to tell the merlerault from the lyonnaise. Let me know if anyone would be interested in theese chicks. I also have 2 pairs of sulmtalers about 11 weeks old now if anyone is interested. Thanks

I might be interested in the possible merleraults. How much r u looking to get for them?

Can you please give me an idea of what to bring as far as food. I will be coming from 4 hours away. I can also bring plates or cups.

Usually it's just normal potluck food. People coming from farther away usually handle the things like plates and silverware, and someone close will bring things like ice and hamburger and hotdogs if we are doing those. I have the list of everything that's been volunteered so far up to date now, so if you wanted to check that out it would give you an idea of what we need.

I will bring 4 jugs of organic lemonade (different varieties).

My daughter will have her rubberband creations to sell most likely. I have some herbal healing salve for sale and some loose leaf tea in bags (if I can get it together)

Willow starts are in ! Boskilli - they should be nice and strong for you ...

The lilacs came through the winter and are budding out nicely !!!

Plum trees haven't started to show activity yet - but they almost always do well here.

I have been trying to get some Pussy Willows growing but to no avail.

Just came back from digging up some Concord grape vines at a house a friend sold. She gave me grapes last year to make jelly. Now I have to dig the holes to plant them. I hope the holes to plant them will be as easy as getting them out of the ground.

Anyone ever plant grapevines?

She'd cut these back. I wonder how long before I get half the crop she got.

Why is it, some folks can plant things and never mind them and they fruit all over the place. Others like myself plant things, fuss over it and it dies.

I'll plant these and hope for the best.

How much for the merlerault?

Well so far to bring for the Auction. I have copy of "In Praise of Chickens", DW made two aprons with chickens on them, and an assortment of back issues of Practical Poultry. ( a great, though expensive British magazine)
