2016 Gosling Hatch-a-long

Everything here is in full egg laying mode. From chickens to geese. I knew my ducks were laying, just couldn't find the nests, sneaky little feather dusters. Penned them up and now I'm starting to get eggs. My goose nest has 6 eggs, hopefully one will decide to go broody soon, it's getting harder and harder not to swipe some and start up the incubator.

Aww c'mon 8geese, you know you want to fire up your bator.

I'm up to my eyeballs in eggs with 7 female chickens, 17 female ducks, and 21 female geese.

I have another one externally pipped this morning and the first one is working hard to get out!

I don't have that many anymore... 3 female geese, 10 hens and 10 female ducks and one lone turkey hen that I need to find a Tom for.
If anything I will wait about 2 weeks before starting it up. If I incubate goose eggs they will probably be from someone else. I've got a chance at getting some of my brown Chinese bloodlines back through a gander that I used to own. He was one of Bill & Mildred's first goslings. Plus the eggs are from a white Chinese female, so that means I'd be getting pied babies back!

Thank you! I am very excited, he/she is finally out moving/flopping about and very vocal. I have put water with vitamins and electrolytes in the makeshift brooder I put it in. Also have the heat lamp on so it can warm and dry up.
