2017 Gosling Hatch a long!!

She's not broody yet, I dont think she's done laying yet. She did start lining it with her down the day before last. So she's gotta be done soon! No, shes not sitting on 37 but she is sitting on a lot. Ive been told and I have read so many different opinions on the matter I'm not quite sure what to do. How many is too many? Ive been figuring in nature she'd be sitting on them all so I've pretty much left that part off to her. But if its better to take the older ones out I will..

So...little pokey came out of shell and didn't move for awhile, thought he was dead again, poor baby was so tired he slept quite awhile. He is doing great and only shuts his mouth when snoozing. LOL I'm getting ready to candle the last egg, I'm not even expecting any movement so if there is I'll be thrilled. Here is the 3 little ones, no names yet, little pokey is the tiny one in back...I got 2 with color!

So...little pokey came out of shell and didn't move for awhile, thought he was dead again, poor baby was so tired he slept quite awhile. He is doing great and only shuts his mouth when snoozing. LOL I'm getting ready to candle the last egg, I'm not even expecting any movement so if there is I'll be thrilled. I looked at it and thought I saw movement and then didn't see anything so not sure...I was just too tired. I left it in incubator and I'll check again tonight. There's still nothing happening so I'm guessing I lost the little thing. I don't understand what could've happened since they were all moving when they went into lockdown. I guess 3 out of 4 isn't bad for a first timer, I really didn't think any would make it with the things I've read. Little pokey imprinted on my son. I had doc appt and told them not to touch anything while I was gone. Well he's as bad as I am when it comes to babies and animals...especially baby animals. He couldn't leave little pokey alone because "he was screaming and begging to get out". I guess he has a baby of his own now. I think I am going to have to leave his name little pokey since that is what we have been calling the cutie. He is trying so hard to walk but he is too shaky, if he had arms I would call it an army crawl, I bet he is almost running by tonight though. I'm not going to get a thing done today thanks to these little ones! Oh the little yellow one discovered the water and tried to get in but the only thing to fit were legs so she just sat there with legs inside dish until baby #2 wanted to see what it was and pushed her out of the way. Sibling rivalry at its best. LOL

Do you have any poultry nutri drench? all my newly hatched babies get it first off like first week. You can give this lil one some directly into it's bill tiny bits at a time it really helps get them off to a good start. also add to their drinking water.

I bet your son and little Pokey will be best buds for sure. Gosling love attention. How old is your son?

Aren't they just adorable. I love goslings they are so precious of course i love all baby animals but goslings are at the top of the chart.

Do you have any poultry nutri drench? all my newly hatched babies get it first off like first week. You can  give this lil one some directly into it's bill tiny bits at a time it really helps get them off to a good start. also add to their drinking water.

My son thinks he is funny and renamed little pokey Tardy. Ding dong! He is 37 going on 10! He has stolen Little bit, my bantam I thought was a pullet (this is what happens when you take kids shopping and rush without reading the entire sign, I missed straight run) he named him George Clooney because his feathers are salt and pepper like Clooney's hair. He calls him Jorje (HUGE eye roll on that) most of the time.
I have the probiotics and electrolytes but I guess I should grab the other stuff since I did see movement tonight, this is day 31 and still nothing on the shell. GRRR Oh and little pokey never walked, just took off running! I HAVE to get that on video, it is hilarious! !

Of course he is first born and a ladies man. He looked exactly like Brad Pitt when he was about 16 and girls would drop to his feet. Little did they know he hated any girl who told him they loved him because he looked like Brad Pitt. This is my son before he decided he liked tattoos, now people are afraid of him, which is really funny because kids and animals LOVE him.

I will lay down a blanket so the little webbies can run screaming because they freak out when they cannot see you, hopefully the video turns out. LOL

I forgot this little bit of info...it looks like the egg has 2 air pockets. The egg is so full it is hard to see anything but as far as I can tell no pipping and the baby isn't very active at all. Do they stop moving before they start pipping, kind of like babies stop moving before you go into labor?
