2017 Gosling Hatch a long!!

Pics
I do not make safety holes, and it has not been an issue for me. After butchering many a baby in the beginning, and successfully hatching a couple of severely deformed babies, I have only assisted with zipping ever since, especially if they have pipped at wrong end.

If they are peeping, you have nothing to worry about. I typically drop my temp 2 degrees (99F at egg level when cooking, 97F when hatching). I keep my humidity at 75%. Do NOT open bator!

Ok, I understand.
We are in lockdown now as the fourth and final egg has internally pipped. I was worried about getting humidity up high enough fast enough if I waited for an external pip before lockdown.
Thanks for the advice Iain :hugs
It's a waiting game now...
:fl

Ok so I candles, and I'm not sure what I'm seeing lol. Still no external pips, not a lot of movement. The one that I thought had the internal pip still seems hard to define. It almost looks like her wing is in the aircell? Still no peeping. Im leaning toward late death to be honest, but I'll give another day before I worry too much. I hope they are ok, but if it wasn't meant to be then it just wasn't. I think I may invest in a better incubator next time. And of course hope for no power outages.

Oh I really hope they are ok. Let us know what happens today.:fl

I have two external pips this morning...eeek it's all happening here!
:celebrate

Oh man. TK10, any movement yet in those eggs?

Nannette, how's it going? I'm dying for the external pips to begin for you!

I just candled my solitary egg and he's jumping and bouncing around in there. My car adapter came today so now we are all set for our car ride to NC next week

Someone remind me to start heating up the incubator next Monday. Lol

They started really zipping around lunchtime and then just popped out this evening. They are huge and very lively ha ha.

Wow...Too cute! I can't wait till my geese hatch, if they hatch....So you're not supposed to count your chickens before they hatch, same with geese I suppose! lol

I tell you, it's loads more stressful than hatching chickens!
I'm strung out, but so proud of my babies.:love:love
Ooh yes make sure you keep us posted if how yours get on! I'm not supposed to hatch anything else for a while now. Hubby wants 'a break'.
We'll see how long that lasts :lau
