oh wow the poor little guy was way behindthis is for a 28 day duck, so not muscovy or Call![]()

yeah, my guess is that is why it didnt make itoh wow the poor little guy was way behind![]()
for ducks it is beneficial to sponge them with water 1x per day, dependent on AC size for the last week of incubationno i didnt
ahh that makes total sense. I am using a still incubator i have 2 they are the same exact kind i just use one for lockdown an on for incubation i fogured itd be better to have 2 separate ones. I have been using the dry incubation method so with that said i dont think i will ever set chicks and ducks together again lol should i still sponge the ducks since its still air an i will take pics when i candle tomorrow of the air cells i think they are a little behind but not to bad at all tomorrow is day 18yeah, my guess is that is why it didnt make it

think that it is like momma duck going for a quick swim then getting back on the nest
keep a jar of water in the bator and when you turn them, use a new sponge and just get them wet, just the ones that need it
and then on the last couple of days before lock down do all the duck eggs
yes this will make the humidity jump BUT it wont last long, it dries very quickly (so long as you are using a forced air, and have the vent plugs open)
i think i would still try sponging esp if the are behindahh that makes total sense. awesome i will start this today thank you!i think i would still try sponging esp if the are behind
i have also heard that sponging/misting helps them to hatch anyway, hence wanting to sponge for a couple days prior to lockdown
are they on their side or upright?Still no progress, so I decided to candle the ones I have seen rocking a lot...... I only candled 2- the first one haven't internally pipped, and the second one, I couldn't even see an air cell? It was just black??? Does this mean that's died? I swear that I heard that one peeping last night, and when I set it into lockdown the air sack was fine then.
