I'll post a group photo tonight when I go out there again to check on them before bed. I also can't tell if one of my RIR chicks is a rooster or not. We thought he was when we picked him out and he had these white spots at the webbings of his wings. Now he's bigger than all the other RIR chicks so I'm pretty sure I ended up with two roosters when I only wanted one lol oops.

In the pictures you can see him compared to the other barred rock chicks and he is noticeably lighter than the others.

[No More Empty Nest]

Work on my coop is progressing, although slowly due to the cold weather. Meanwhile the chicks are looking good at BBZZZZTT's coop. Here in the city we're allowed 4 hens and it's determined by city rules not state.

Oh right, we're stretching the rules until my coop is built, hence the 7 in the picture.

So far they haven't ventured out of the coop. Haha. But they have food and water in there so that's okay.

Also, fairly high chance Kida is actually Milo.

Now I need to stop browsing through all my chicken pictures because I am finding reasons to think they're all roosters. XD

DH has laughed his butt off at me for the number of “cockerel” we have. At some point with my first batch of chicks I thought every single one was a cockerel. I’ve had so many experts tell me until they crow or lay don’t loose any sleep over it. Glad I was just paranoid.
