Oh it won't be too far from white,once she sees how big and puffy Snowball is going to be I doubt she will even care.

She really wants a pure white bird. No idea why. Lol. We shall see how 'Snowball' turns out.

@ketojenn, I see your little faverolles have some sooty spots too. I'm so releived to see that you just don't know. I've already got 3 boys so seeing that Meyer favs are just a little sooty and black dosen't automaticaly mean boy is huuuuge!

The first batch. They are nearly 5 weeks old now. Little brats were hiding in the dirt and weeds and gave me a scare when I didn't see or hear them.

No kidding! Iv'e only had one so far that I knew from day 1 was a boy and his leg down was jet black out of the egg. We will know for sure and certain in about two weeks.

Let's hope not anyway.

Uh oh. I'll keep and eye out and guard my ankles! The wyandotte was the one I got for looks and I think she is gorgeous so I'll try hard not to spoil her. Mine seem a pretty nicely functioning flock. They get along well, not a lot of backyard drama.

Mine came from TSC which uses Hoover Hatchery.
Birds from a different line can definitely have a different temperament.
Yours will probably be fine.
It also comes down to personal preferences.
I’m trying to find what breeds I enjoy best.
They haven’t been quite so bad since I gave my rooster they were with to my friend. It’s kind of odd
