The chicks FINALLY figured out how to use the nipple waterer! I was about to give in and dig out the chick dish waterer so that I didn't have to keep refilling the little water dish they currently have, but they figured it out!

Mine came today! 7 Easter eggers, 3 Cuckoo Marans (hatchery sent an extra!), 2 Speckled Sussex, 1 Colombian Rock shipped from Mt Healthy Hatchery. They all are doing fantastic despite being shipped in 20 degree weather. My guard dogs are already working too.View attachment 1266057

Wanted to share that I LOVED lurkiing this thread! Your happy and sad stories helped me out. My biggest ah-ha was that I needed to meet my mail carriers and that helped make my story a lucky, happy one. Mine are a week old today and shipped Feb 21, so a bit behind many of you. I ordered 6 from Chickens for Backyards and got 9. They were all huddled in a lump when I got them and one seemed more distressed than the others but they all seem happy and healthy now. Thank you all!

So cute! What breeds did you get?
(I'm going to guess 1 silver laced wyandotte, 1 red sex link, 2 buff orpingtons, 1 easter egger or sussex (?), 1 rhode island red, and 2 barred rocks or cuckoo marans, but really I have no idea . They're all so cute; I'm glad everything went well!
