2019-2020 Breeding Season

Update:
I have had 4 Mallard ducklings hatch and 3 are drakes. Also, 2 of them are technically crossbreds between a white mallard duck and a Mallard Aussie Call Drake. At least they don’t have any faults on their wings. The Drake hasn’t got the best colour so I may sell him in the future. The other 2 pure mallards are more like Cheeky in type (My drake who has got champion twice in junior class). They haven’t got their breeding plumage yet.

I also have 3 muscovies from my black pair. And for whatever reason they are producing barred. They are all drakes, 2 are black barred and one is black. I’m selling the black and one of the barred. Also, at the moment the Black scovy duck is on 4 eggs with are currently hatching, which I’m not too sure if they’re going to be mallards or muscovies (as I have my breeder mallards in the same pen).

I have also had 2 white Muscovy ducklings hatch from Snowbell and Mammoth. I’ll probably end up selling them later. And I have 2 Indian runner ducklings a blue and a white.

The Aussie Mallard Calls have bred and I’ve kept one of the ducklings. I call him Tiny at the moment.

Yesterday, I got a pair of black muscovies and the Drake is larger then my current breeding Drake so I’ll be breeding them sometime this year.

That’s it for now. I’ll upload pictures when I can get some.
