was it a southern guy, with all kinds of chickens and other fowl making a racket in the background? i just finished making similar incubator following that guys instructions. came out pretty good and seems to hold temperature, i used an AC fan instead of DC fan so as to skip the DC inverter also i used a big foam cooler. unfortunately, it wasn't until finishing the project that i thought to ask, in the comments ,if his design ended in a successful hatch. never got a response, which is troubling. maybe ask around if others think it's a good design. other than that it was a simple build.

DNA is back, I have a pair!! Now I am considering rehoming my adult, not sure I have room for three and it would be easier to raise a pair together.. Anyone near me interested in a < 1year old male who loves people but has never met another emu?

I asked over on the FB page and they wanted me to check and make sure the babies aren't related - pretty sure the seller said she sent unrelated eggs so keeping fingers crossed.. As for socrates, yours might like him but I am not sure what HE would do - he thinks he is a person I think..

Desi probably wouldn't be bothered but I worry a little about Ciara. Females are the ones that tend to be more territorial and aggressive. But they are all still young and not yet breeding age, so she'd likely be fine. But like you said, Socrates might not really know what to make of them.

Well, consider it just in case! I don't have a horse trailer (or any trailer), unfortunately. My seller thinks my eggs are not siblings but she will double check.

I don't either, lol. I have a friend with one, which I would borrow if I ever needed to move my two. I have seen where someone has transported an emu in one of those big white stock tanks with the cages on them, if you know the ones I mean. They just cut a door in the front and got the emu in, then loaded it into the back of a truck.
