She maybe close to 9 months old before she begins laying Muscovys are late maturing.

Still would like her to be able to make anlottle nest for herself though, might as well get that part down before she starts haha

I have seen bedding advertised on Amazon I believe that wasn’t as messy as shavings I’ll see if I can find it.

Yeah I feel like she’d start pulling at those little threads

I’m getting some stuff to try for the horses that’s recycled stuff and a little less fine so I’ll see how that goes. Thought about strips of cut up towel but those will get swallowed by the washer

I wonder if yo I could get a box made that she will go into and nest. My Pekins when they make their nest in the hen house, I rarely have to clean it out because they don’t poop in the nest. Just a thought

I thought about converting an old late cat litter box into a nest but that still leaves me with the bedding problem

James felt horrible last night. He came home from a friend's house with a
horrible migraine. When I say migraine, I'm talking about the full pukes, can't open his eyes, etc. Complete misery.

He forgot to feed his boys dinner. It got dark and there was duck bill pounding on the back door. They were wet, muddy, dinner-less, and in the dark.

James ugly cried. Big tears and sobbing that he let his boys down. Poor kid. Thankfully Chuck and Buck forgave him

Agh, I just cried for James. What a sweet kid you have! Good job. I am sure they were only banging on the back door to check on James and totally forgive him. Poor kiddo!
