2019 may hatch a long!!!!!!

Pics
sorry but I got my dates mixed up. Hatch day was the 19th and had first one on the 18th and last one on 22nd of may. I didn't know wing sexing only applies to certain breeds. I will find out here in a few months what I have. Whatever they are, it was a fun and exciting thing to do and well worth the time and energy. Thanks for your input and anxious to see if they lay lots of eggs.

View attachment 1783061 Neighbor gave us 30 turkey eggs to attempt to incubate! Today is day 0.

Then on Sunday I’ll add 6 CCLB in. Then I am going to try my hand at still air incubation in a small 5-8 egg cooler that we have converted

just a bit of advice... Those cartons that you have the eggs in are going to soak up a LOT of the humidity because they are like cardboard, so I would recommend using a PLASTIC, not cardboard egg carton...

I remember reading something about this. I think it only mattered if the egg carton got wet? Maybe @ronott1 will remember. I have used them for multiple hatches and haven’t seen any major issues.

The trick is to not let water tanks get too full and touch the cartons. Normally they will not get wet from the humidity in the incubator. I have used them quite a bit

So the eggs I am ordering should be getting shipped tomorrow, but I'm worried because they will all by just about 5 to 6 days old by the time they get here. I figured it is but is this bad for the embryo. Do they still have any chance of hatching there will be like to eggs that is going to be three days old. Is there any reason to buy them. The person I am buying them from only has one hen so it is taking a while and I cant find any other d,uccle breeder. I just wanted to know if they will have any chance of hatching and if I should even get them. This is my first time hatching shipped eggs so I'm a little worried on how old they are. :fl:idunno
