2019 may hatch a long!!!!!!

Ready to do 5 day candle of my new siklie eggs tomorrow evening. Can't wait for more silkies. I have a few silkies who are great mammas. I generally use them to mamma whatever I pick up at the feed store. Here they are with last year's babies- all non silkie. The two hens co-raised them and they always tried to steal chicks from each other. Poppy is yelling for the chicks to get put from under Pansy and come to her. View attachment 1774849
They are adorable. I love silkies

Well I am watching the tracking on my eggs that were shipped yesterday.

Im a little scared to admit what they are...
7 death layer, 6 bantam barnevelder, and 12 silver barnevelder...

And Monday or Tuesday I’ll have 6 deathlayer and 6 blue laced red Wyandotte from a different breeder.. and same day I’ll also have a dozen show quality large fowl salmon favorelles.

I’ll have two incubators running and I’ll be scared to death!

Thanks for joining, welcome to the hatch a long. Good luck with your hatch.

I have 29 eggs from my own chickens, mixes and a few pure breed Orpingtons, and 10ish Muscovy eggs to hatch 1st of June. And a single 'scovie egg that may or may not hatch within the next week. It's a weird one, with the air bubble in the small end of the egg. Anyone hatched one like that? I'm expecting to have to assist it.

In the Easter hatch a long I hatched one with a cell on the side towards the small end. No assist needed. I would mark that air cell fully, I bet it pips there and will be fine.

so my hen is still broody,:D i was scared she would not back out of it becuz this is her first time. but she keeps getting of her nest. i have the coop door shut so the big hens wont mess with her, and she has water and food, but when the big hens are in, like in the morning and at night. they are always pecking her until she gets off. im afraid to give her fertile eggs. this morning i went to let them out and she was off the nest, even though there were no other hens on there, and the eggs were cold. what should i do?:idunno

Congrats! :D Can you move her? Sounds like she's stressed that the others are bugging her all the time, and want somewhere quiet and alone.
