2019 may hatch a long!!!!!!

Pics
I just went and checked on her and she is back on the nest but this morning before I let the hens out, she was off and the eggs were cold

She started brooding yesterday right? Give her a few days. I've had broodies who seemed to have a "trial run" of walking on and off the nest before settling down. It can take them a day or two to get into the rhythm.

Do you think it would be ok to put her out of the coop for a few minutes so I can clean it. Would that break her

I'll join! These duck baby's should arrive the end of may :) They are incubated on may 1st.

After 50+ terrible eggs from different breeders from the Netherlands, it is a joy to see some life in these (only 4) eggs from Germany! I have watched the video's already 1000 times. My baby's :love
Welcome to the hatch a long. So glad those eggs are doing good. Thanks for joining and good luck with your hatch

I've got nine eggs in my 'bator at the moment - all Nankin Bantams. When I candled, last week, seven looked good. Two may be quitters, but I gave 'em the benefit of the doubt and left them in. I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. They're due to hatch this weekend, which is perfect, because I have another Nannie and a couple of Kindergarten Dropouts (both standard pullets) in the brooder. They'll be moving out to a kennel in the main coop on Thursday - just in time for this next batch to hatch. I LOVE Spring!

Hi!!! Thanks for joining the hatch a long. Good luck with your hatch!!

so my hen is still broody,:D i was scared she would not back out of it becuz this is her first time. but she keeps getting of her nest. i have the coop door shut so the big hens wont mess with her, and she has water and food, but when the big hens are in, like in the morning and at night. they are always pecking her until she gets off. im afraid to give her fertile eggs. this morning i went to let them out and she was off the nest, even though there were no other hens on there, and the eggs were cold. what should i do?:idunno
You should come down here & take one of my broodies home with you. I have one that bites and screams. Pshycho. Lol. She will probably be a great mom. It's her first time though, so I'm hoping she won't attack her's or the other broodies' babies

yes i only have the one coop and there is really nowhere to put her. she does have the coop to her self all day, but when they have to roost and in the morning is when they mess with her. do you think if i just get her out of the fav laying spot and put her in a side ways tote with bedding on the ground, would they still mess with.?
Unless you confine her to the tote somehow (maybe with some plastic garden fencing) she may just go back to the nest & let the eggs get cold.
