Day 19. No internal pips but LOTS of movement - so much so that I could actually feel one of them moving around as I was holding the egg to candle it.
Really hoping I wake up in the morning to the sound of cheeping coming from the incubator!

Good luck, cant wait to see pics!!!I have 15 eggs various mixed breeds (just for layers)... due to hatch on Monday... ill let you know what happens and ill post pics, in fact, we had one hatch A WEEK EARLY!!!! 2 nights ago, and it is doing so well! Ill let you know what happens!

Thanks. She had not given up yet. I gave her some more infertile eggs and she took them as fast has she could lol when I get home I will see if she is off or on the nest.Nothing I can think of. There's all kinds of theories on how to make a hen broody and I'm sure some have had success but I never have. Either they will or they wont. Next time give her a solid week of good broody mom behavior before you even think of adding eggs. Honestly, I usually don't usually give them eggs their first broody cycle. Then I know how reliable they are and how long they are likely to stay broody.
